I’ve got gears in one of my cars. Nice to take one chain/belt off the list of shit to worry about.

I’ve actually only owned one car with a timing belt. It broke on the highway. Luckily no other damage, got it replaced. Car was totalled two months later by a car with a timing chain. I think life is trying to tell me something there.

Bah.
And I know of more complex than that, too - that’s just the 5-cylinder I’m pretty sure, the V10 has a second bank.

Audi 4.2, or 5.2? The best part is that they put those chains on the side of the engine that mates to the trans. I mean, really, it’s a chain right, shouldn’t ever need to change that ;)

I have no idea what it might be; I just looked for an ugly-looking timing chain.

You want gears?
Here are gears. Not a single one is anything to do with timing though, because two stroke.

I got rid of my V6 VVT Impala, in spite of how strong it ran, out of fear of a major timing chain repair. Dumped it while it was still well.
